Hates!

I hate having my haircut - I hate it with an absolute passion: I hate the fact that I have to pay for it, and I hate the fact that they ask me if I'm at work today when I'm sitting there in a suit.

In fact, I hate every aspect of the entire experience.

I've now taken to cutting my own hair with the kitchen scissors - which is sending the other half bananas - on the basis that I can always disguise any major mistakes with wax or gel - so far I've done OK.

So, what do you guys hate with a passion and what lengths do you go to to avoid doing it.

My sister in law, I do the washing up/ washing/ drying/ dusting/ hoovering/ bathroom/ bed changing/ folding/ ironing* delet as appropriate. Failing that, if I get in from work and I see she's in the house I sit next door until she's gone. I have been known to lock myself in the bedroom/ bathroom and pretend that I am asleep/ in the bath.
I absolutely despise talking on the telephone. I never, ever answer it - we can't have caller id as we are on ntl, so I just let it ring. Hubby goes bananas at me. I don't like writing the Christmas cards either - I feel all queasy thinking about it!

These dark nights.  Still at work and it's pitch black out there!

And I hate the misuse of the apostrophe.

Ironing!!!  I hide it in my son's bedroom  (he's away at uni) so I can't see it and eventually we end up with nothing at all to wear and I have to spend hours and hours doing it.

Also hate making pastry and cakes, so I gave away all my baking equipment.  That was the best way of avoiding it.

I share your hatred of haircuts, flanker.  The only other activity that ranks with it for similar reasons, is buying shoes.  I hate it when they just sit there, assumimg you like them, and hate it even more when you need to walk up and down to check for fit.  As a long-haired, shoeless bloke, I would indeed be a much happier man.

Change your barber. Go to a 'unisex' place where the staff are pleasant to look at as well as talk to, where they make you coffee and have intelligent conversation. I used to go to one that would fit "If Carlsberg did a hairdressers.........." - really. Why don't you go to one and ask for a Brynner. Then if you still don't like it, you need never go again. It'll just take longer to have a shave.

What I hate - shopping, injustice, interference on videos, disrespect, machines that don't work, lack of consideration for others, liver & kidney, advertisements that claim to be doing you a favour, condescension from the TV, condensation on the shaving mirror, but most of all out of everything in the whole wide world, what I hate most of all is shaving - ********** ******* ******* SHAVING!!!!!"! (I saved AB Ed the bother).......is that enough?

I hate hoovering... It's ridiculous, cos I know that the house is SOOO much nicer when it is clean. But most of the time I just cannot be arsed...

Flanker & Bonzo:  I too hate having my hair cut.  I last went to the barber's in I think 1973.  I remember it cost 40p.  My hair is very frizzy and they didn't really know what to do with it, so eventually I decided I couldn't do a worse job than them and I've cut it myself ever since.  Except for about five years when I stopped altogether and became extremely fuzzy rather than a bit frizzy.

Now I use one of those clippers with a plastic comb thing which regulates the length to about half an inch.  Once I forgot the comb for a moment, mowed a stripe and ended up having to crop it all to the skull.

And I've even got out of buying shoes.  It goes like this: Every six months or so I walk into the farm supplies shop, ask for work-boots size 13, pay 20, walk out.  Lovely.  I have two pairs on the go, the newer of which can be polished if necessary (it never is).  Wellies in winter, and otherwise I wear bare feet when I can.

Merlin -- why not live up to your name and grow a beard?  I've never shaved as I know I'd hate that too and I can't see the point anyway.  (All assuming of course you're talking about facial hair...?)

What I can't understand is men who have full beards but still shave under their chins every morning.  Why?  All the fuss, just to look, shall we say, odd?  Though I did know a chap whose black beard came so far up his cheeks he had to shave a patch under each eye so as not to frighten the horses (and I think to see out).

Closing time at the pub is my biggest hate.

What a stupid concept it is!!!

when i go to restaurants, i hate going up to them and asking for more Ketchup! lol...and i also hate calling people, other than friends and family!
When I have to work on a Sunday, I leave the house and my hubby and son are still tucked up in bed, not fair!!
i hate hate hate the sound of coat hangers in the wardrobe when ur tryin to get clothes off and they get all tangled and they make that horrid sound. i also hate it when shop assistants chuck the coat hangers into a box behind the counter and they clang together!
Just thought, I also hate the feel of anything nylon or polyester.  The thought of wearing tights or stockings makes my teeth go on edge.  Hence, I always wear trousers!
shaving, paying over $2 a gallon for gas, driving, ignorant people, lisa simpson, peggy hill, my job, waiting, waking up, paying bills, computer problems, being on hold, im sure there are more but you get the idea.
oh yea, and being cold too.

I hate paying bills, and figuring out where we're at with the finances.  I hate thinking about money.  It's terrible, because life would be so much easier if I wasn't so disturbed by thinking about money, but it's really my one household thing that I cannot stand.

I also hate wearing closed shoes - I much prefer sandals, even in the winter (okay, not in the snow, but I don't live in a snowy place right now so I can get away with it).

B A N A N A S

I love bananas, but really don't like cooked green bell peppers (raw is fine).

GAB Fakeplastic!

I hate people who finish your sentences for you. I also hate those redundant and tedious excedrin commercials "tension headaches with pain in the neck are a pain in the neck and excedrin keeps them from being a pain in the neck. Excedrin; don't let tension headaches be a pain in the neck"... And the way they look at you!
