I am having terrible trouble with mascara. I've tried waterproof, smudgeproof, every sort, but I always end up with panda eyes after a few hours. I seem to have tried every make on the market.

I have always had that problem.....at the moment I use L'Oreal Waterproof Telescopic.....I use a bit of foundation on the eye area,then Urban decay eyeshadow primer,followed by powder eyeshadow. I also use Boots No.7 translucent powder to set the foundation..especially under the eye......this really helps to prevent the dreaded 'panda eyes'. My eye makeup lasts all day.

Lancome waterproof does the job but it is expensive, and you do need a waterproof remover to get it off. It is the best I have tried though.

You should get an eyelash tinting kit from the chemist!!
I had same problem. Always looked a mess after a bit no matter what i used. Then i tinted my eye lashes with a home kit. cost about six quid, takes about ten mins. Lasts about a month and you get loads of applications in one kit. Then you can put mas over the top, but less of it cos you dont need to pile it on!

I've just bought that new l'oreal double extension beauty tubes and it's brilliant!! and just washes off without having to scour...had it on all day and still looks good - even if I say so myself!!

Tinglyfing, my daughter is a beautician, I do have my lashes tinted (not free tho, she needs the money), ok for daytime, when I'm at work, but sometimes I like to give them a bit more definition, so after around 3 weeks, I start wearing mascara again. I think as pastafreak says, powder under the eye to set the foundation, I reckon excess grease, heat & humidity makes the mascara run, even waterproof ones. Thanks.

seriously - I've got up this morning after a late (slovenly)night and they are still pretty perfect!! go with the old l'oreal tube thingy...

The one I've found to be the best is Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lash Tint. But Clarins also do a product called Fix Mascara that you can apply over any brand to make it waterproof!

Thanks Nicola, I'll put that on my list. Hippyhoppy, you never went to bed with your make-up on?? ;0). I've had a look anyway at L'oreal, it seems they only make it in black, I use brown, but I'll have black if that's all I can get. Thanks.
