A couple of months ago i went trekking so had my hair braided (I'm caucasian so non-afro hair) so i wouldn't have to worry about washing it too much. I had them in for 3 months and started taking them out last night, but finiding it really difficult to get rid of the effect of loads of separate strands - so its now a bit like dreadlocks or something like that (but only near my scalp)... I know i could probably have it sorted professionally, but it cost me 100 to have it done (my hair is VERY long) and if theres an easy way to sort it out myself id much rather do that!! Any ideas or suggestions would be great please... I miss having normal hair!

get your friend to help you coz its easier. i take my daughters out the same way the braid got put in. cut the end first. theres a gap from the end to your hair. undoing each strand till it stops then on to the next. once you get going it goes with the flow. you'll find a mass of your hair at the top but dont worry its just what would of fallen out anyway.
good luck!
