Can't believe I'm sharing this, but I thought I'd have a go at waxing last week. Needless to say, it was pretty painful and I'm definitely sticking to my trusty razor from now on. However, whilst doing the inevitible bikini line - apart from the fact that it made my eyes water, I now have a very painful bump on on side of my inner thigh that's just getting bigger and angrier. Could this be a result of my waxing escapades? Being the shy type, I do not want to share this with my rather fit young GP. Any advice?

Yea, probably....the first time I tried it I had bright blue bruises, almost like blood blisters.....lol

if it's a toss up between having a little more hair on legs/bikini line and bright blue blisters/sore bumps - bring on the au-natrel look. Am going to wear grannypants til this goes away. Damn the price of vanity!
Thanks for this - I was going to try waxing but will now stick to less masochistic methods of hair removal x (
big knickers are sexy...............
Question Author
er, they certainly don't make me feel sexy, but whatever turns you on I guess ;oD
gosh, sounds awful. i had exactly the same a few summers ago. i went to a so called professional due to my reliable and excellent beautician having moved area. when i was on holiday a big bruised lump came up just above my groin area. my husband had a close look and said it was probably an infected hair. it eventually burst with lots of pus inside so be aware of it when it gets real big and soft. i also had one a few years ago, i went to docs, he advised me to wear those bridget jones pants, i was so embarassed, anyway he said it was an infected hair down below.,. it burst so as it was in my groin i couldnt go work and found it as a good excuse not to go to work!! had to let it dry out as knickers rubbed on that bit. best of it was, i was sitting on settee infront of guess fire letting it dry out when the white arow man knocked on the door!!!!!! will never live it down!!

i think from memory that i put tea tree oil on it as its a good natural antiseptic and/or surgical spirit would keep it clean too. hope it goes real soon!
