One that doesn't clump, produce spider legs and smear under your eyes making you look like a teary panda.

Any good ones you've tried?

Lancôme Hypnose.
The best I've ever tried and use all the time is Benefit They're Real - although you might find it too in your face if you don't like spider legs and false lash effect. It certainly doesn't smudge or move.
A friend of mine swears by the Benefit one too, not to my liking though.

A wander around the make up counters is a good way of trying them out to find one that suits.
Prudie can you get any other colour than black?
You're probably better off with a waterproof one Tilly.
Brown and blue too LB
I'm currently using eyeko skinny brush mascara. I give it a quick top coat of max factor 2000 calorie waterproof. I prefer waterproof, but I've yet to find one that doesn't go on too heavy or clumpy.

Thanks Prudie, JohnLewis had only Black but Boots have all the colours. Blue for me. I see it's the best selling mascara in the UK or it was in last year.

I tried *a* Benefit one...it caused my eyelids to puff up and go red. Not a pretty sight.
I have greeny-hazel eyes and used to be able to find a complementary mascara. I can't now and they all clump and look horrible (short eyelashes) so thanks for all the ideas.

I find that waterproof mascaras tend to make my eyelashes brittle. I don't use waterproof ones. I want a nice, silky looking, natural one.

Anyone done eyelash tinting?
Yes, frequently.
Soot:-)

Thanks for the answers. I'll look out for some of the recommendations.

Goodness knows where I'm going to find soot......
I'm sure soot was actually used during the war as substitute eye make-up, wasn't it also used as toothpaste?

So my grandma led me to believe, Prudie.

Imagine cleaning your teeth with soot.......
