Tuesday. I hope it's drier than yesterday. It piddled down all day.
Tiggy didn't stay out long, came out for his supper, a quick rootle round the garden and back to bed. It won't be long until he's thinking about hibernating.
Lashing rain and blowing a hoolie last night. Windows being battered about and things falling off rooftops. Been awake all night. I HAVE to go out early as I have a 9am appt. and have waited quite some time for it so I HAVE to brave the elements. I just hope the rain eases a tad by then.
Don't think I'll be wandering along the seafront this morning. Wild weather and the TUC conference... two very good reasons to avoid Brighton-sur-merde today. Also, I hear that Cor Byn Laden is to attend the conference today.
Wonder if he'll bring his deputy dawg with him, Tom Watson. That'll be Tom and Jerry onstage. Also Dianne Abbott. All he needs in the shadow cabinet is a Costello. Loney toones alive and well.
The waves will be high today and the surf's up. Surfers love it. I'm not a swimmer. I'm one of life's paddlers. That's the extent of my immersion/submersion.
It's like watching a sad old hippy from the 60s still wandering about with those ideals from that time. We all had ideals in the 60s... but WE all grew out of them. BTW note to ALL men... this current trend for awful beards... THAT is what you look like. !
Beards are only for terrorists, fans of Shipman or Cor Byn Laden, or Dumbledore. Never trust a man(or woman!) in the 21st century with a beard. THat's why Mr Remington and Mr Gillette were born. Shave them off lads. They look AWFUL, no exceptions .
It's been a long time since I went swimming in the oggin. Our dog was on the beach with herself while I was in the water with the nippers. The dog decided he wanted a swim. So into the water he ran, swam to me and climbed up onto my shoulders. several claw scratches enjoyed the salt water! herself and the nippers were creased up. I have to admit I saw the funny side too.
I can't swim. I was brought up surrounded by water. In Edinburgh, we had the beach at the end of the road and now, in Sussex, I have the sea just a few minutes walk away but I'm absuloutely terrified of the water . Big Fraidy Cat that's me.
Tiggy is not the only one who's thinking about hibernating. This is just not a natural time of day to be up. But I have to be in London this morning. Groan.
Last night was quite jolly in the town. The students from the university had some sort of thing where they went up and down all the bars and clubs in West Street. I think they ended up in a club called Prysm, at the bottom of the road opposite the sea front, although I'd gone to bed by that time.
