My daughter has had a bit of a reaction to E45 cream, I replaced others with this as she seems pretty sensitive to a lot of creams etc. What would be the likely ingredient that is setting off her skin so I know to try to look for moisturisers without it.

Thanks for any replies :)

E45 cream is fairly innocuous.

Try aqueous cream BP from the pharmacy counter. (Provided you can convince them you're not going to eat it, they'll sell you a tub of the stuff). That's the basis of all moisturisers but it doesn't contain any perfumes or preservatives. You have to keep it dry or it goes mouldy.

Thanks Old Jim, I thought aqueous cream was supposed to be used wash with.
Having checked, I see there are quite a few ingredients in E45.
One of the ingredients that commonly causes reaction is Lanolin.
Maybe cross check with other problem creams to find a common
ingredient/s. Certainly speak with your GP though.
Hi rocky, regards the ingredients that may possibly be giving your daughter a action .. possibly two mentioned under 'warning' http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/skin-and-hair/medicines/e45-cream.html
'reaction'
There's not many ingredients in E45....but you can be sensitive to any of them.
