Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

hot hot hot here.
Time for my bed...very tired now. Loved watching the Tour de France finish not because of the racing but because of the Ariel ( is that spelt right!)views of Paris.

I kept saying to myself 'I've seen that', 'I've stood there' and the like...

Oight oight Biddyfriends Everywhere. I love you all...x Sleep tight

22C here atm Woofy in the kitchen .You seem to be suffering down your way from the heat .It'll cool off soon .Wish you and the woofers a peaceful night though .Fireworks going off on the cliffs here .
Oight Oight from me .Early night as it's up early for the gardener ..I hope !
Law & Order was good .I love Bradley .He looks so sweet in his mac and tortoiseshell specs :)
good grief, the predicted thunderstorm arrived at 6am about 3 inches outside our bedroom window, so here I am bright and early. At least it watered the garden before moving on, I'd been tiring of doing it myself for an hour every evening, and us just gone over to water metering too.

Anyway, we had friends over last night, sat out in the garden in the sun with champagne and chips and dips, then moved closer to the house to have dinner, and everyone went to bed feeling full. These are our friends with the Paris flat, and we're going to stay in it for a week next month, so thought they were entitled to a dinner from us.
looks like the storm has jumpstarted the royal baby, it must have been pretty close to the hospital too after it moved on from us.
Sitting waiting for a blood test number 40 with 22 just gone in. Pleased I've got my crossword.
Morning all...It was positively chilly in my back bedroom last night, I couldn't have slept in there with the window open. It's dull & a cool 14C at the moment. Looks like being showery every day after today.

yes jno, after next door's little darling and her early morning yodelling that news was the first thing I heard today. Hope it all goes well and that it is today, I like the number 22 :) It was a stormy day that jumpstarted Tarquin....5 or 6 weeks early. :o/

Law and Order was good shaney, and it looks like Sam will be around for the next two episodes. I felt so sorry for him, he needed a hug. ;o)

oh booger, I'm supposed to be having blood tests. I was advised not to go on a Monday unless it's urgent as it's always busiest. (and sometimes Tuesdays too)

It's a hot one here .22C on Freddie the Frog already but I think that'll be it ,thunderstorms forecast for later.
Hope you are all fair to middling though .
I see the Royal baby is on it's way ,hope all goes well for them .

When I was watching the news and Nicholas Witchell (sp) was outside the hospital going on about the protocol of the birth announcement I couldn't help imagining a cleaning lady appearing in the doorway behind him....

terrific Robi, I hope that someone does. Its warm and sticky here, the thunderstorm forecasts seem to be dodging about so maybe they will miss is and we'll just get the cooling effect. Poor old Shughy I hate to see him upset. I have been doing housework very slowly this morning but slow is better than non existent and sis arrives on thursday.
Good morning am having my coffee on the village. By 'eck it is sweltering here, with August still to come.

I was born at 5am in a thunderstorm. All the best people are.
Hi I'm back. Actually it wasn't all that long a waitin the end. There were 3 nursesand a test only takes a few minutes.
Robi I wish I'd known - you could have come with me today!
It's quite nice here weatherwiseI'm just having a laziyish day and knitting - yes me knitting. I'm knitting socks nand I'll send you a pic about Christmas when I've finished :)
Have a good time in Paris Jno. I wish I was coming. There's lots more there I want to have a look at. Mind you the 'techno fireworks' on the Arc de Triumphe were useless!
Hope you all have a good day one way and another.
oh it's ok Jude, I'll go later in the week. The problem is I've been waking very early lately and there's no way I'd survive until mid morning without a cuppa!
I know I could go to the hospital earlier than the health centre but the queues are bigger so it works out the same... unless I wanted to camp out from sunrise :) It's only routine tests because I take diuretics, it's not diagnostic.

It's boiling here now but the good news is that the gardener has been and it's all nice and tidy again. What takes him an hour would take me a fortnight .
Oooh not blood tests .I have one months more thyroid meds then I'll have to go for an overhaul and a lecture .
phew, I've done a bit in't garden but it's rocketed by almost 10 degrees so that's enough of that. Same here shaney, even on a very rare and good day with the wind behind me it would take me several stop/starts to mow....and several days to recover...by then it would need doing again.
I have to have my thyroid blood test in Oct, he forgot to ask for it last Feb! We have to make appointments for blood tests and be there about 7.30 as there are always 40 patients so first come first served.

Off to see dentist on Friday as I am convinced this eye nonsense is down to a very broken and manky toof!

Have we got a 3rd in line for the throne yet?

not yet neti...why, will you be planting a tree?
Want to ask something and I am not being facetious. What would happen if the new heir was a very obvious gay, as we are now all accepting of them. Would he have marry a woman? could he have a civil partner? What about an heir, could it be something like Elton John's situation, just wondering, I guess for a femail gay it wouldn't be quite so bad, she could produce a child.
*femail*?? too much DM, sorry!

female!
