I qualified last year as an Hairdresser and would like to go Mobile. I am aware that I need to get Public Liability Insurance. Can anyone suggest a good Company to go with and what sort of deal I should be looking for and what I can expect to pay. This is all new to me so any suggestions and help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

You need to look at a number of companies to see what deals you can get - you'll also need business insurance on your car if you are planning to use that to get you about.
I'm also looking for the same thing. but are you just going for public liability? I've been told that professional indemnity insurance is also something to look at. As for car coverage. The insurance company rarely charges for upgrade to business, unless you're carrying good like a professional salesman for example. I guess it depends on what you intend carrying in your car or van. Do you belong to a trade organisation? You may find you can get specialised insurance cheaper through them. My husband is an author, he belongs to the society of authors and he has found them excellent. Good luck. I imagine your service will be very popular as people seek to save money on high street prices.
