I am re-reading Shindler's Ark, largely because I've just returned from a trip to Krakow and in fact stayed in the Jewish quarter, plus, of course, its a great book.

This is the only Keneally I've read, so the question is, are his other books worth a go?

"The Playmaker" is excellent - about a group of convicts in 1789 staging a play in the penal colony of Australian's Sydney Cove. It is the basis for Timberlake Wertenbaker's play "Our Country's Good"

I also really enjoyed "A Victim of the Aurora"

When you are in Krakow I would recommend you this tour, it takes you through Kazimierz and points out some locations which were used in the film "Schindler's List" and also the Jewish Ghetto of Podgorze and Schindler's Factory. We found the tour fascinating and informative.
