As a follow up to my previous post regarding the availability this quiz I've conntacted Iain Rennie and have been informed that due to the ill health of the setters there is no quiz planned for this year and that they will inform me if and when a new quiz will be available. A sad loss to all of us who enjoy a good quiz

Oh that is a shame even though I found the quizzes very difficult, they were a real challenge. Let`s hope they are well enought to carry on soon.

I remember now they were ill last year as they couldtn answer any queries

I just wanted to check before posting, and having just read their letter dated 27 August 2008, it does state that one of the quiz ladies, Irene Cammegh was diagnosed with cancer in Nov 2007 and very sadly passed away on 17 March 2008. Their quizzes were really great. My condolences to all at IRHH especially Joyce Bailey (the other half of the quizzing partnership).

A shame that such fi,ne quiz should be lost, especially through such tragic circumstances. I don't always agree with boysinblue but in this case I'm with him 100%
