in act1 scene5 of Shakespeare's Romeo and juliet is the sonnet the first part when romeo speaks or is that the soliloquy? "did my heart love till now?foreswear it, sight!....." which is that?

A soliloquy, in this context, means a speech in a play that is spoken alone or to oneself.  If you look at that particular speech of Romeo's, which begins "O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!" I think you'll see that that's what it is.

Not 100% sure of this so, if this is homework, don't quote me!  :o)

To ALLEN i do have a dictionary and i know what they mean. a sonnet is a 14 lined poem of some sort usually used in the shakespearean times as a way of expressing love for someone whilst a solioquy is like the thoughts of someone spoken aloud. well i may hav got them confused but anyway i just wasnt sure because my teachers comments on my essy gave me the impresion that i had got thge two confused so no need 2 b rude. if ur not going to answer properly then dnt answer at all
