Didn't Umslopogaas die with Quatermain?

It will come to me in a minute.
I'm fairly sure it wasn't in King Solomon's Mines, because there were sequels to that novel, and Quartermain and Umslopogaas died together in one of the later books.
It is in the last book of the series titled simply Allan Quartermain. He dies defending the stairs to the queens chambers if I remember rightly (its a long time since I read the series)

I think ...

There were sequels to King Solomon's Mines in which Quatermain appeared.

I seem to recall that Umslopogaas died with Quatermain ...

... so it must have been one of the later books.
