Does anyone have an idea which houses or halls Neill based Thirnfield and the Langkey home on? I am a bit lost as i can follow his journet from Wigan parish Church to the boars head at Standish and i know The Park hall and martin mere well enough, but Thornfield is supposed to be right at the boars head then up and down for a while, that either is worthington hall or even further on duxbury hall, he would not have been to haigh hall as he would have riden past the main gates!
Its puzzling me, i have an 1841 OS map with duxbury and worthington halls on it, bearing in mind they rode to anglezarke it is surely duxbury?
