stll a long way to go but feel I would be wasting my time to try any further unless someone can solve 20a "ignorance is like a delicate ??; touch it and the bloom is gone" (Oscar Wilde) According to me it comes from 'The importance of being ernest ' and is "exotic fruit". The clue has only 5 letters. Am i supposed to put in the name of an exotic fuit? I would still like to take up the challenge of completing the xword.

I haven't done this crossword..but I suppose I would just put "fruit"..they may have left out the word exotic.

The answer's definitely Fruit - it has to form a phrase by matching the answer to one of Saturday's GK crossword clues and, in this case, goes with cake.
