To answer jills' question, I'm not sure any of the cast fits with the version I know best (the TV series); with the possible exception of Bill Nighy as Slartibartfast. Martin Freeman? I'll be seeing Tim Canterbury more than I'll be seeing Arthur Dent!

I actually quite like the idea of Martin Freeman as Arthur....but you are right..the casting of Bill Nighy's inspired! I read some of the books before I saw the series, so I had my own ideas of what the characters looked like before the series came to air...and not all matched up with what I'd imagined.
