Could it be Cecile de Volanges who is seduced, rather than abducted, by the Vicomte de Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre-Ambrois-Francois Choderlos de Laclos?

He demonstrates some Latin terms to her (if you see what I mean)!

Thank you for your suggestion: I'm not sure that it's quite what I'm looking for. I think an abduction is definitely required ! But as I have no ideas of my own it's helpful as a springboard to other possibilities.
