Sorry didn't quite know which category this fell in but need some help and advice. I have an acting audition where I have to perform two contrasting monologues, I just need to know when I am performing, do I look at the judges as if it's them who I am talking to? Or do I look elsewhere? One of my monologues I am supposed to be telling a friend a really embarrassing story, so do I tell it directly to the judge, as in look at her all the time? Many thanks

Are the audience not meant to be invisible? unless the script called for participation I would ignore them, tell the monologue to the friend as if they were standing in front of you
hope that helps

Thanks, it does help. I'm not very experienced in acting. I just thought if i'm only standing 4 feel away from the judge I will be tempted to look at her. So would that be totally wrong?
Yeah , when i do monologues i pretend that nobody's there and act it out then look at the judges at the END so to say that i'm finished.
