I have a feeling and I may be totally wrong, that this is from one of the Enid Blyton Secret Seven books, but I'm not sure which one.
I agree it is Enid Blyton, but I think it is either one of the St Clares or Malory Towers books ( The badge was the prefect badge?)
Yes - I'm sure it is from a Secret Seven book. One of the 'seven' is calle Janet and they all had to wear badges with SS on them. The badges were handmade and they weren't allowed into the meeting shed without it. My daughter has Good Work, Secret Seven, Secret Seven Win Through, Puzzle for the Secret Seven, Secret Seven Fireworks and Good Old Secret Seven, and it isn't the first line of any of these, but there were a number of other books.
Binky, that's exactly what I though of when I saw Pentagon's q!!!
I need to find out for definite now, because it's doing my head in!
Ease your mind Helliebobs, it is 'Well Done Secret Seven'.
Glossop you bloody genius! And if Pentagon doesn't appreciate it, then I certainly do!
