toast,nigel slater

he iss a cook... but not sure if he's "celebrity".. but it is am excellent read
Stephen Fry Moahib is still my washpot and any of Alan Bennetts
The Two of Us.. My Life with John Thaw by Sheila Hancock.
I am not a lover of biographies but had this for Christmas and really enjoyed it.
Similar to gillian19's suggestion, Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain is an excellent read. I hadn't heard of him before reading this, but it's got some great anecdotes about his life as a chef, as well as the odd tip on cooking and what to avoid in restaurants. Very entertaining!
Read Endurance by Alfred Lansing about Ernest Shackleton. He may never have been in Hello! but he's one of my heroes! This is a fantastic book for the layman as well as the budding or experienced explorer. Inspiring stuff. They made a 600 mile journey in a tiny boat in the world's most dangerous ocean with minimal navigation equipment and managed to hit an island about 10 miles wide dead on... at the end of a year crashed on the ice! Grippingly written as well by a chap who met a lot of the people there.

Tis Herself Maureen o hara

and half way through Me myself and the some Lauren Bacall

excellant reading

I don't generally like biographies but Frank Skinner's is hilarious (if you aren't too offended by jokes about oral sex and masturbation!)
i agree with robbo82 on the Frank Skinner Book another hilarious biography is Jim Davidson
Abridged addition of Boswells live of Dr Samuel Johnson. A great read and quite amusing. I kid you not....
Give Me Ten Seconds...by John Sargent was great.
John Peel.
I would also recommend Toast by Nigel Slater and Moab is my Washpot by Stephen Fry. Also Untold Stories by Alan Bennett, although it weighs a ton!

Depends what type of thing you're into, I guess... I ove books about hellraisers!

Dear Boy: The Life of Keith Moon (of The Who fame) by Tony Fletcher and what an absolutely cracking book that was... the one and only true and original madman! Without doubt the funniest, the saddest and most fantastic book I've ever read!!!

Other than that, I really enjoyed, Evil Spirits about Oliver Reed... funny as hell!

If I Don't Write It, Nobody Else Will by Eric Sykes....brilliant.

Again (if you are not easily offended) as robbo82 and enidblyton said. Frank skinners autobiography was brilliant.
