My year 6 son needs to find a word beginning with 'P' which comes from the French words 'presto' and 'digit'. It means to conjure or to create a majical illusion. Any suggestions would be great. THanks.

Try prestadigitation.

Its prestidigitation (to create magic) or prestidigitator (magician) coming from the french word prestidigitateur.

For some reason that word always appealed to me I remember it from my school days! My fluent pronunciation was one of my party tricks - well I was only 11!
