I keep getting notifications on Facebook for something called International Arabic School and I can't work out how to stop getting them.
Can someone explain how to do it please?

Couldn't you just block or report the account which sends you this kind of notifiations?
Question Author
That's what I was hoping to do, but don't know how to do it.
Click on the page, and unlike/unfollow it.
Question Author
There is nothing there to do this.
I can either
Save post
Turn on notifications for this post. (But not able to turn off )
Report post to group admin. (How?)
Find support or report post.
Which one should I use?
When you say notifications, are you finding them through actual notifications (a red circle with a number by it, attached to the bell icon), or are they just appearing on your newsfeed?
Question Author
Does this help?
I joined a Heritage and History group and this school has obviously asked to join the group and this is why I'm seeing what they post.
In the past I have seen where you can hide posts or stop following this person etc, but it doesn't give me the opportunity to do that.
As far as i can make out, I would have to leave the Heritage and History Group so I no longer see these posts, but I didn't want to do that.
Does it come up as a notification via the bell icon?, or is it just on your newsfeed?
Question Author
Yes it comes up as a notification on the blue bell but , even if I don't click on it, the post is there when I go on the heritage site.
Clic the blue bell (notifications)
Clic the three dots top right of drop down menu
clic open notifications
Find the notification you want to delete and clic the three dots to the right of it
Choose what you want to do - remove or turn off further notifications

Question Author
APG, when I click on the dots I get 3 options.
1/ Mark as unread
2/only get notifications about friends posts from this group
3/ Report issue to notifications team.
That's it.

That's quite odd.

Leave the heritage group and rejoin. That might solve the problem. Maybe message the admin to let them know what you are doing so that they can accept your request when you rejoin, if it's not a public group.
Question Author
yes I think I will do that rocky.
The admins email address is on the page so I will email her and tell her why I've left.
I wouldn't mind so much, but they post at least once a day and it's all in Arabic.
Thanks for all your answers.
Barsel. I know you are going to try to resolve this with the admin page, but I think you are clicking the wrong three dots. You have to click the three dots to the right of the word 'Notifications'(above the words 'see all'). From this drop-down menu click 'Open notifications'. This will open a full page with all your notifications in a long list. Find the notification you want to delete and hover your mouse to the right of it. Three dots will appear. When you click these three dots you will have a drop down menu 'Remove this notification/Turn off these notifications/report.
I had the same problem as you and was getting up to 15 notifications per day. This resolved the problem.
Question Author
APG, I decided to leave the group, but a friend of mine belongs to the same group and she was getting the same posts, so I explained what you advised, and when she did that she got Remove this notification which she clicked onto, but she didn't get Turn off these notifications/report, so she will have to see what happens now. If she stops getting further notifications from that Arabic group, I will join again and follow your instructions.
Many thanks.
