What a lovely city - some very splendid buildings. The docks are lovely.

We saw Shen Yun last night - what a fabulous show. It was a riot of colour with superb music from the orchestra and some dazzling special effects. I'm so glad I went to see it.

I hope everyone is well xx

Liverpool has the most listed buildings outside of London, easy to see why isn’t it?
Only been to Liverpool twice.
Second time was about 10 yrs ago and enjoyed the docks and museums etc and yes it is a lovely city.
First time I really didn't see much as I was in Walton prison...
Much preferred the second time ;-)

They're incredible, Vagus. The Liverpudlians must be very proud of their city.

We stayed at the Titanic Hotel and there's a huge disused tobacco warehouse opposite which I believe is the subject of a forthcoming multi-million pound redevelopment. It's going to be awesome around there.

I guess your first experience is one you wouldn't want to repeat then, Nailit. ;-)

We're going back in June for 2 nights so we'll get to do the Beatles Tour. It's only fair we do something the OH likes next time...

Too right LCG. Full of tattooed, violent, skinhead thugs. I just don't know where the prison service in Liverpool recruits its staff from? ;-)

I know someone from Wrexham who was in there and he fits that description to a T ;-)
I love Liverpool and it's not far from where I live. Frequently visit the Empire Theatre and the Albert Dock. Love the shopping too ..

I did a bit of shopping yesterday (forgot to pack heels) and yes, there's so much there. We had a nice light lunch and a bit of a walk around. I can see why it appeals to so many.

The Empire is lovely inside and a nice size.
My daughter lives there and absolutely loves it. She did some of her medical training at St Thomas Hospital and despite being a Welsh speaking girl from a relatively rural area fell in love with the place and even commutes for 30mins every day so as to remain there. She loves the "scousers" but is fairly quick witted and incisive when she has the mind to be. I can recommend 2 places to eat having been to both but you will need to book.

Great views from here at dusk.

The Art School Restaurant is well worth a visit next time you go, it really is fine dining but you need to book well in advance.
Walton was the scene of the last hanging in Britain in 1964 whilst the culprit's partner in crime was hanged at Strangeways at the same time.
