Call me cynical, but the provenance seems to depend entirely on the word of the person selling - hmmmmm.

I suppose that there are experts in the field who will agree that it is an original but there will be others who don't agree.

I sold a Punch original drawing once but it wasn't worth that sort of money but it did have details of who had owned it and the history of the ownership of the drawing.

I'm going to try and get back to sleep - Frankie meowed until I got up to feed him. It is nice to know who is in charge of the household.

that bottom one shows CR with uncommonly small feet and broad shoulders. But I suppose if the seller can demonstrate some link to the Shepherds and their house, it's believable. The other drawing looks like the real thing.
Sorry, should've answered earlier, but I was busy creating a third Mona Lisa. Er, yeah, I'm sure they're all legit. That's usually the case.
The auction house obviously believe that they are genuine, otherwise they would not include them in a sale.
