I know I'll have a long wait for any reply here, but I'm peeved.

This month's BBC Music magazine names the 20 Greatest Conductors of all time.

Now I KNOW that this sort of thing is always subjective ... BUT ...

Wilhelm Furtwangler ranked BELOW Simon Rattle ???

Colin Davis IN the Top 20, but Georg Solti NOT in the Top 20 ???

Leonard Bernstein at Number 2 ABOVE Karajan AND Abbado ???

Do you ever look at these things, and think ... "Aah, come on!!!!!!"

Aww, thanks redman.

I like the Number 1.

=0)

Now I've got my rant off my chest, I feel as if you and I should share a bottle of wine (okay, maybe three), and then we could wave our glasses at each other and say "Yeah, yeah, that Beecham, he was the dogs boIIocks" and top up our glasses. Oh, by the way ... he made Number 19. Otto Klemperer ... not even in there !!

Have some more wine.

Yeah, thanks.
LOL JJ ! Thought that would get the Wine flowing freely and give some of those on the list a good few days in your Dungeon !

Green parts of the UK are good ... but I like blue.

I like being able to look up, and the sky goes all the way out to the edge of the sea horizon, with no buildings in the way, and you think ... WOW, the sky is big here !!
Question Author
That was funny, redman.

Sounds idyllic but a little bit of green to go with the blue makes beautiful scenery I too would love to look at the horizon without all the unspolit surroundings I wonder who could conduct this scenario!
