Has any one got any information on Sir Godfrey Kneller........................I have a copy of a portrait of a lady that resided at Hill Hall house in Essex during the early 18th Century, she was painted by Kneller.
What is the meaning on a sheep at her knees while she is holding a flowered wreath in her hands?

Thanks ABerrant, the actual portrait hangs in Newstead Abbey Nottinghamshire.
Do you know what the hidden meanings are behind the portrait at all. She is holding a flowered wreath and a lamb is by her feet etc.
Do you know anymore about this lady?
