The Time Travelers (sic) Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
What sort of book do you like to read? Thrillers?
Romances? Historican novels? Non-fiction?

Martina cole books are good
The girls -Lori Lansens
The list is endless
I'm in the middle of reading Losing You by Nicci French and am finding it riveting, good if you like thrillers.
ooh I like Nicci French I have all her books as well. I like Killing me softly, brilliant.
Question Author
anything really, non fiction mostly, and i tend to go for the occasional bio
You might like the Bill Bryson travel books.
Try "Notes From a Small Island" (Britain), and "Down Under" (Australia). Also "A Short History of Nearly Everything".

Historical fiction: "The Remains of the Day", by Kazuo
Ishiguro. There's an excellent film of this, featuring Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins.

Historical non-fiction: "The Reason Why", by Cecil Woodham-Smith - the events leading up to the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava.

Thrillers: The Jack Reacher novels of Lee Child.

Detective: The books of Peter Robinson, set mostly in Yorkshire. And the books of Donna Leon, set in Venice.

Good Luck.
have a look at this website: http://www.literature-map.com/ its's great if you have a favourite author and want to find similar styles of writing.

my favourite authors for novels are Harlan Coben, Michael Connelly and Nancy Taylor Rosenburg for crime style novels and Jodi Picoult for thought provoking ones.
I must agree with pingping - jodi picoult is excellent

if you like crime/thriller Alex Kava or P J Tracy are good too
jodi picoult is definately a page turner, as is Nicci French, Harlen Coben and Carmen Reid.

miracle in the Andes by nando perrado.
non fictional, autobiographical account of one of the Uruguayan football team who's plane crashed in the Andes and they eat each other.

If you like horror I recommend World war Z by Max Brooks
I also like Jodi Picoult. I am using one of her books, My Sister's Keeper, in my Grade 12 English classes.
How about The Missing Postman By Mark Wallington or anything by P. G. Wodehouse or Mr Finchley Takes Te Road by Victor Canning.
