Should I invest my money in this book, or is it just some hyped up junk?

Opinions on this book vary, dependent on the opinion holder's beliefs and values. The high Church and extreme Right think it undermines their fundamental truths and is therefore dangerous heresy. The loony Conspiracy Everywhere mob take it to their hearts as evidence of what they always thought.

There are varying opininions in between. I think most people see it as an entertaining mystery. Bear in mind, it is FICTION, although based on some factual starting points. The paperback is hardly expensive, and you can gallop through it in about 5 hours (although not necessarily all at once!). Why not have a read and form your own opinion. At the very least, you will have a shared topic of conversation at parties!

If you're unsure, just get it out of the library. Yay, free books! I'm almost sure they'll have a copy of such a popular novel. Or pick it up in a second hand/charity shop. I am an avid reader, but not of this type of fiction, however, I absolutely loved it. Its not a great work of literature, but the pace, suspense etc of the novel definitely will keep you reading.

It's an absolute heap of hooey, but it's a real page-turner, too. I'd endorse what Hippy and nicnic said.
it's all very fast - I think most of the action takes place overnight - but it's very badly written. Think Jeffrey Archer. Up to you whether you like that sort of thing.
I liked it, if that sways you at all. It's fiction, with maybe an element or two of truth in there somewhere.

I enjoyed it, it is a real page turner. It may not be fantastically written but i think its a very entertaining book. Certainly makes you think, i would by it and see for yourself.

Near me there is a place where you can but books and if you take em back they give you half the money back, not bad really espec if you didnt like it

It's an awful book. The writing is rubbish and the facts are piffle. If you're looking for a mystery thriller holiday book, read 'The Bourne Identity' by Robert Ludlum. Don't worry, the plot is completely different from the film so it won't spoil it for you.

well it's not my type of usual book to read and i at first refused to read it due to all the hype however took it on my hols as a last resort and loved it.

You haveto realise its a work of fiction but was definatly an enjoyable read and one that does get you thinking!!

Hope you decided to read it and rather than buy it either go to library or borrow it, surely someone you know has a copy - so many have been sold!!

Don't buy it, borrow it from someone. I was so disappointed in this book I feel I wasted my money.
I thought it was absolute piffle ,badly written , and after torturing myself by reading about quarter if it took it back to the charity shop from whence it came.

Don't expect any of the hype you have heard about it and you may enjoy the read.

I enjoyed it as a piece of fiction. The next book 'Angels and Demons' is to be avoided like the plague.
Just wait for the movie. Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, pretty French lady... you can't lose.

I read the book a few months ago and absolutely loved it, but I think it's down to what you enjoy personally. It can get slightly confusing but I still liked it a lot.

And I liked Angels and Demons even more, I think it's great. =)
