Good Morning Early Birds

its another early start, but I can't get back to sleep so here we are. i hope that the day goes well for you and that you are in good spirits. Any plans for the day? i have my late luncheon to look forward to and will finish off the tidying up this morning, so all i have to do is put the food out which won't take long. Then provided the sun shines tomorrow there is a picnic to look forward to. As long as it doesn't rain i don't mind going. Last time it pelted down and i missed out.

its still dark and to my mind beginning to feel more autumn like, do you feel the same, as we seemed to have missed summer unless it happens soon. I don't mind the autumn so much but do love the sunshine and warm weather when we get it, which isn't very often admittedly.

early shower has perked me up a bit, washing on and then just the living room to do and that's it for the morning. so i can relax i hope before they all arrive - i haven't catered for nor cooked for anyone in an age, must get back into the habit of doing so.

it's dark down here early. I got back from north scotland yes.terday and it was dark at 830 here but still light at nearly 10 there. Picking up dog from kennels today and doing washing and unpacking today I expect

Am good! Was debating over dinner today but have decided I’m gona do a buffet over all the bits we need to use up lol.

seeing as it's supposed to be summer still, have gone for the cold food option, besides i haven't cooked a meal in ages, being reliant on ready meals, which at least give me a degree of variety, but will get back into it soon.

Agree, we have almost missed summer but looks like it’s gona be a nice day so if so I’m going to spend it in the garden.

i don't like being indoors when its good weather, if i had a garden i would set up lunch outside, but sadly i don't. if its nice tomorrow for the picnic then that's a bonus.

yes smow, on the second floor, we do have a green space outside between two blocks of flats, but i wouldn't use it, my dining room will have to do for today. Have prosecco to start and two bottles of pinot grigio though im sure will only drink one.

Am sure it will be lovely!! What time are your guests arriving?

hope my guests are hungry and not too picky, as sometimes the children are.

not till 3, as friends husband is working in the morning, but that suits me fine.

Perfect- you have plenty of time. Like I said earlier I was thinking about dinner and then thought I’ve got pizza in freezer, pate, cheese etc in fridge- so I’m going to just do a buffet lol x
