Way back in the 40's. I read a book and I have forgotten the title, maybe someone can give me a prompt. Two names that I remember, a boy who was
named Willie Harbottle (maybe, Harbuckle) the other person was just referred to as 'the man in the red socks'. A book titled 'Hallowmas Abbey', by Winifred Graham 1935 rings a bell, would appreciate some help. redanvil.

After a bit of researching, I have found the answer, the book "Hallowmas Abbey" mentions Willie Harbottle and the man in the red socks, I found the book on eBay and maybe read it again.
