Good evening all, got a few book titles here and was wondering if anybody could throw me a few ideas as to films that are kind of along the lines...

The Kite Runner
A Thousand Splendid Sons
The Princess

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's for my mother

There's already a movie of The Kite Runner, I know there's one planned for A Thousand Splendid Suns (brilliant book!), but I don't know about Princess. I can't say I know of any others in the genre - but if anyone else does, I'd be interested.

The film Kite Runner was not as good as the book imo, but worth watching all the same. I hope they do A Thousand Splendid Suns justice because it is one of the best books I have ever read. A film I could recommend is Not Without My Daughter, as good as the book I thought and about an American woman with a Muslim husband and her fight to leave his country with her child - a breathtaking book.
