My Norton package expires on Nov 1st, which is also the day I leave the UK for 5 months.
The question I have is as I am not using my laptop in this time (it will be permanently switched off), is it ok to wait to renew the security until I return?
Sorry, I'm still an amateur when it comes to these things!!
Thanks in advance.

If you are not using your laptop while you are away dont do anything until you return I would not renew it when you return as there are free antivirus programs available that will be as good as it but you will have to use the Norton Removal TOOL to getv rid of it.
PC security is more than just anti virus.

Telling somone to remove Norton (full security package) and just replacing it with just anti virus is leaving them wide open.

Your PC will be fine if it is switched off.

Get a full security package when you return, but hunt around as their are bargains.

I think you can renew it anytime - why don't you do it before you go away?

It will be permanently switched off while i am away.
Why should I get it before I go? I would then pay for 5 months when I am not using it.
Thanks guys.
