Selling cakes at a boot sale, do enironmental health have to inspect my kitchen?

Hi all, hope I am in the right section, I want to sell cakes at our local ar boot sale, do I need to ask environmental health to 'rate' my kitchen?

It's a bone of contention with the WI who now have to be inspected and hold a food hygiene certificate before producing jam and cakes for sale at their events.

I would check with your local council.

Hi mary , i am not sure on the law for this , i know if you bake cakes for school fetes and stuff you don't need to go through all that , why not find your nearest one and send an email if they have one or give them a call , sorry i cant be more help thought i would try and put this question back at top hopefully someone with more knowledge about these things will come on with better advice
