However, I feel I should remind everyone that TheAnswerbank is a knowledge-exchange, not a message board on which laypeople are encouraged to exchange unqualified "advice" on legal and medical matters. To do so could potentially have unpleasant legal consequences.

This Editorial decision is significant and highly important. As it is just not possible for the Answerbank Editorial Staff to know of and judge the relevance of the qualifications (if any) of those purporting to answer Legal and Medical questions, in view of what the AB Editor now says then for the safety of everyone all questions and answers with Legal and Medical content ahould with immediate effect be permanently banned from Answerbank.
