Hiya to cut a long story short, my hubby is a very fit 43yr old and about 6wks ago got admittted to hospital with chest pains, tracing came back clear, hes totally exchusted, anyhow they said prob a viral thingy, and how towards last weekend floored again, clammy hands palpitaions, not sleeping, shaky etc, back at doc again done another heart tracing which also came back clear, doc, thought maybe plurisy now on antibiotics, been on them a week no change, with all these things going on, does anybody thin it could be his Thyroid? Oh and another thing, when they check your bloods, what do they check? do they check the thyroid as routine? any suggestions would be great, hes back at doc on Tues, anything he could ask them? Manythanks guys and girls

I think that an underactive thyroid is a very good suggestion.

Thyroid function tests should have been done in hospital, but you must ask your GP if they were indeed done.
