Dear Editor,

I am still awaiting a response to my e/mail dated 3rd April ; despite my having reminded your office on at least four occasions. However, if I am to believe the many comments which I have read in AnswerBank, the case is that your staff is indifferent to reasonable communications and it's unlikely that I will get a reply to my query.

Consequently I now ask "Why do you have a 'contact us' facility which doesn't respond to communications.

At the risk of your considering me as being an unreasonable person who should be expelled from the AB site, I am publishing this e/mail 'on-site' for all to read and comment accordingly.

Hi BeatySwalls.......I havn't any great ambitions at my time of life. I only want to know why it is that I no longer get an e/mail from AB when replies are made to Threads to which I have Subscribed.

I would have thought that it was a simple matter for a member of the Editors staff to explain......If there is a computer problem with AB , I think we should be told by a general e/mail to all of us members; instead of e/mails which wish us regular contributors to return to the site.

Ron don;t bother with the contact us bit in your profile, email the ed direct from your own email account at

I send personal emails to the ED all the time...........and he NEVER answers...in spite of the fact that I am always polite.....;-((

Dot That's what I've been doing....e/mailing from my own account, but it hasn't brought any reply after five reminders.
