Is it still heard of or do you think it's a bit tacky?

My mum hired a stripper for my he night!!

To be fair though, the guy does it for charity, he did it a few years ago for children in need or something like that, and has become something of a local celeb.

It was a great laugh!! But it wasn't all rippling muscles and body oil!
*hen*
Well of course it's tacky, but it depends on the party girl or boy.

Would they be delighted or horrified? If you don't know them well enough to be certain, don't do it.
Gosh, now you mention it you don't seem to hear of them any more ! Lots of pubs used to have them on a wednesday night and we used to go for a laugh.
Slightly tacky I suppose but still a good laugh among a group of women !
Who mentioned male stripper?

Because it was a male stripper that sandrajo mentioned !
Did she?

I'd be delighted Ethel, especially if he was 'hot'....I was thinking of hiring a 'granda' or a 'rolly polly' one for a laugh but people have said, that's just a waste of money (I thought it would of been a hoot)....

I read somewhere a while ago that a woman was getting prosecuted for hiring a stripper for her son as he was only 16, something to do with getting photo's developed and they called the police in, I'll try find the link.

If I was to hire one, there really shouldn't be kids there eh?

Yeah ! She said the guy does it for charity !
I guess it all comes down to whatever floats your boat. Personally speaking, no, I wouldn't. I can't think of anything worse on a night out or more cringeworthy than some strange bloke jiggling his bits about and gyrating beside me. Not my idea of a fun night at all , yuk!

lol I didn't Jillius, but it is a male stripper :o)
Elginred said that about the charity in the reply post.

Sandrajo, is it for you or somebody else? You might be delighted, but if it's not for you, be sure the recipient would be.

Many pubs and clubs don't allow them, so check first.
Oh god ! What a numpty I am, whoops ! I was reading the post underneath !!
Apologies Ethel !
No matter, Jillius, your psychic abilities were right!
Thanks Ethel lol !
Y not do it yourself and save the hire charge?

Look out for wrinkley strippers for hire. More novel/experienced and need extra income to boost pensions to pay for our broad-band and gizmos ;-))
maybe for someone that I knew would be a laugh with it, but I;m the kind of person that gets embarrassed for other people and it would make me cringe if I did it to a shy mate
Question Author
4forgetmenot, she's defo not shy....glad you mentioned checking with the place Ethel, I never thought of that.

here's the link I was talking about: Is was in america right enough, I don't think this would happen here!

Quite a few years ago I went to a party in our village pub for a guy who was 50 and there was a female stripper there. At the end of the act so much pressure was put on the guy whose party it was to strip as well that he did (cos he was drunk by then!). I felt for him as all his family were there - SO embarrassing for him.
well go for it then :-)
