Copying and Pasting

Can someone please tell me how to copy and paste on threads in AB?

Hiya naomi

I've found the simplest way for ome is to put my curser on the end of the text I want to copy and left click it three times, it should highlight the text in blue for you. Press Ctrl C (copy) then Ctrl V it onto where you want it copied to.

Put your cursor at the beginning of whatever you want to copy, then press the left side of the mouse and drag it across the phrase or note or whatever it is. It should then be highlighted in blue.

Click the right side of your mouse and select copy. 'Whatever' will then be copied.

Then, put your cursor wherever you want the copied bits to be.

Click right mouse again and select paste.

That doesn't work on AN figure, all that suceeds in doing in highlighting the entire page, no just a specific text- unless i'm doin' summet wrong (shutit CD!)

Oooh... what about when people do the copy and paste things but then rather than a link it says 'for China' or 'look here' or something... how'd you do that?

Or maybe I misunderstood the question.

As long as the portion is highlighted of what is to be copied,
then you put your cursor where you want it to be pasted, and click on paste it should work. Article should be pasted.

I use this method all the time and it always work. Don't give up, lets try again we might learn something from each other, eh ! x

Yes agreed that's how you normally C&P yeah, but I've found in the vortex that is AB that way doesn't work. If i try that it highlights the entire page and not the specific paragraph or wall of text that I want.

Rightio, we'll keep schtum for ya Naomi- fortunately CD doesn't have a choice in that matter, I'm presuming with a sore throat it's difficult for her to talk at the mo- that's a shame innit? LOL

I get the same problem as B00, most of the page gets highlighted. What's the secret, figure? Are you using something other than IE6?

4candles, I tried B00's method and it works. Can't quite get the hang of figure's though.

China, me too - and I haven't a clue what people are talking about when they use all those letters - short for words - either. Basically, I think I'm just a failure .......sniff ...... hangs head sadly and shuffles off.
