Dear Ed,

Please can we have a section for Steam Engines? I am fascinated by them and I expect several other people are as well. I also like diesels, especially Class 31s and Class 37s.

Thank you. It could be more generically 'Trains' if you like.

Surely this topic was extensively covered in Film and possbly Literature some years ago?

BigMac:

a) I wasn't a member here until last Thursday

b) I would be extremely surprised if there was adequate coverage of Class 31 AND Class 37 locomotives.

Pong,
Think Irvine Welsh....!

He was rhythm guitar with The Shadows wasn't he?
Pong, nudge nudge I think your plonker is being pulled.....

Having said that, I like trains too, so yes please Ed, a Train section most welcome, I have got hundreds of train YouTubes.

p.s that was Bruce Welch.

Why??? There are plenty of enthusiasts' web sites where you'd get far more complete and accurate information than you'd get here. And a more sympathetic ear too - no chatterbox school bullies to come and duff up newbies who ask questions they don't approve of.
Question Author
You have a point there dzug, I had noticed the low IQ and tolerance levels in Chatterbox, but I did wonder if I posted a question, e.g. what is the top speed of a Class 40, whether anybody could turn it into a full-scale fight as they seem to do with most other questions.
Oh pong,i`m sure you already know the top speed. You are a little kidder.lol
Question Author
Yes hau kola, of course I know the answer, and they regularly exceeded it at Margaretting, but what if other people didn't ?

If I just posted 'Class 40s can do 90mph' it could conceivably be deemed boring, but if I cast it as a question, causing people to think and google for the answer, it might be less dull and far more educational.

Do you support my call for a Trains section anyway?
Er,no sorry.Mr Kola used to be a spotter back in the day so ive had my fill thankyou.I will mention it to him though.
Question Author
Thank you hau kola, I will take that as a Yes by proxy.
Your Nancy Drew question has been answered.

Why haven't you retreated to Yahoo as promised?

DTH?
Question Author
Somebody made some alternative suggestions, but nobody was able to tell me anything about Nancy Drew.

I like it here as well, it makes me feel intelligent.
Its a mystery!!!
Question Author
What is?
I think mr kola was more into Brushes and Peaks Pong.
Nancy Drew
Question Author
So Nancy Drew is a mystery is it, now we are getting somewhere, but is it more suitable for 8yo or intelligent pointy-clicky adults ?

Tell Mr kola from me that Peaks were really ugly, Class 31s were the sexy ones.
I don't know what you have against all the other ones. Some of my best friends are Class 03 and 04's.
Question Author
Did you get anywhere with this Editor? I was just passing through (in a Sprinter) and have seen no changes. Lotsof people like trains you know.
