ive figured out the report question. i just need no now do this open question... if anyone can help it will be much appreciated. please help

the question is

Many companies are outsourcing their production and other activities or actually relocating to india and the far east to take advantage of lower labour costs. to what extent is this simply a good business decision

In the short term, companies relocating or outsourcing can improve their profit margin, but those same companies are part of our wider society, so the implications are wider than mere profits.
However, does not the board of directors have a duty to maximise profits for the shareholders?
So there is the conundrum. What is good for business in the short term, is bad for society in the longer term, so such a move could be seen as self defeating.
