HI, I have been in a relationship for about 15 months, and in about the last month it has gone sour. His friend has just returned from Hockey and they spend practically every waking moment together as opposed to all the time he used to spend with me. We have been fighting non stop since I mentioned to him that I would like him to cut back on hanging out with his friends and actually spend time with me, either on the phone or at my house. We used to talk so much but I feel like that is all gone, now I spend just the weekend with him if I'm lucky. We don't live together yet and he thinks that this will all be solved when we do, but I want some changes made now. I've been testing his loyalty and loving and willingness to sacrifice a little time with the guys for me.
I got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and I told him that we needed to take a break to stop the fighting, which was the hardest thing I have ever had to do considering he is my first real love. I told him we both needed some time to think of what we wanted for ourselves and as a couple, he agreed. He told me that he would call me the next day, and I hope he does. I don't want our relationship to be over and I'm scared to death to be without him. Should I hold on and just take a step back to see if we can make this work, or have I already made up my mind? Please help me and give me some advice. Thank you
