Once i have the answer to my question how can i remove my question to stop any further answers from coming through

why would you want to do that?? How do you know that the first post is the correct answer? If it is then surely no more posts will be put on it anyway. Dont you want to get replies??

I have checked the answers I have received on another database and found the correct one I do not really want to continue to get feedback indefinitely

then just politely say Ok I have checked and have the answer now many thanks. Its should stop unless you asked the meaning of life :-) That could go on forever. :-)

somewhere top right of the page should be a panel saying 'Got an answer?' or something like that. If you click on that, it will stop you getting any more emails saying 'You have an answer'. It won't remove the question - which stays in the archive so other people with the same question can read it (not that anyone does...) - and it won't stop anyone posting an answer, but at least it saves you being woken in the middle of the night by bells ringing to announce that another email has landed
