Can I suggest you ban him. People get banned for being rude and offensive about individuals. W-M is regularly offensive about whole groups of people (for example see his recent comments about muslims - all muslims not just a minority), yet gets away with it.

report individual posts you find offensive, giving reasons. That brings them to AB Ed's attention.
You can't ban someone just because you do not like there views. We're back to the free speech argument again!

Hear, hear Loosehead!

so you're okay to let Abu Hamza go on preaching then, Loosehead?
jno - I think Loosehead is referring to comments made on AnswerBank - not people who blatantly go out of their way to stir up racial hatred on the streets of our Country!

While I agree with the general sentiment, I am afraid I have to agree that this particular comment was horrible, and completely inappropriate for a 'family site'. I am actually surprised the bots even allowed those words to be posted here.

so why does free speech allow WM to advocate the nuking of everyone he doesn't like, but not allow Abu Hamza to do the same? If speech isn't free for everyone, it's not free at all

Don't ban him - Don't report his answers either. They all help to show exactly what kind of person he is.
Have to agree with jno.

I've just looked at that particular post from Ward-Minter you are referring to & agree that it should be banned! His comments are completely over the top for a site of this kind.

Not a very goosd example to youngsters W-M!

(When are we to get an editing facility please Ed?).

In total agrement with brachiopod on this one!
Crossed posted gesso - I also agree with jno on this point!
sorry, I think users should report any posts they wouldn't like their kids to see, regardless of whether it reveals the writer's personality or not. That post should never have been made and should not be kept on the site.
I've just reported it jno - sorry W-M, but I wouldn't want one of my Grandchildren to read that particular post.

I think irony escapes most people and I personally find him highly entertaining and amusing.

In saying that I do not agree at all with someone posting another users name inviting comments. If you are not happy report him - do you have to have the back -up of other users to feel justified? To that end I am reporting your Question as I feel it is unfair to highlight one individual.

Drisgirl - whilst I agree with some of W-M's sentiments (although other's may not - but everyone to their own), I did not think that particular post was suitable for a famliy site.

jno, It's question of double standards, I would be ok with abu hamza preaching if anyone else was also allowed to preach. If I stand on a soapbox and start speaking about something the liberal elite disagree with I'd be removed. So if I am limited to what I say, so should hamza et al be.

Hi

As jno mentions, please report the posts and they will be considered for removal. Please remember that not all posts are viewed, only the Reported ones.

If you are unable to report the post (sometimes they slip through, I'll be the first to admit that) please email me the URL of the Question.

Also, as Drisgirl mentions, please refrain from "naming and shaming" as its a bit unfair to highlight a person who may have just suffered from a "misguided" moment.
