Have you weathered the storms - it was quite scary at times as we have two huge trees out front, with the wind whipping frantically i was worried that they might uproot, and come crashing through the windows....but they remain upright, whew.....
Good morning , from my hospital bed. Cannot believe I’ve been here 12 days today, just cannot believe it, you ok?? Xx
One of the nurses here lost her entire shed lastnight - the entire shed!! Her neighbour rang here whilst she was on shift here.
Question Author
morning smow, how are you getting along, do you know how long you will be in hospital.
Question Author
i am the same - at least i have some painkillers for the knee problem.

are you still dosed up with morphine...
Hi Emmie, they are assessing it daily. I need to be able to move about on my own, well with this back brace on, and with the assistance of either a walking frame or crutches until I am strong enough to get about without them, and with my pain management on a level/plan that they are happy with and that I can go home with, because once I am home I can hardly ring my bedside buzzer and say everything’s worn off and I need a top up. At the mo they’ve adjusted it quite a few times and I’m now mainly on Sevredol(a slow release morphine), plus various other things.
Question Author
i wish you well smow, that you get the help you need and that when the time is right you can go home.
Thanks Emmie. Have to say I cannot fault the staff - they have gone above and beyond with everyone here, daily. Never moaning once, always with a smile on their faces.
Question Author
it was the same when i went into hospital a few months ago, they couldn't do enough for me.
So good to hear, makes a hospital stay so much more bearable.
Question Author
though they did release me at 3am, which was a nightmare getting home. Not what i was expecting at all.
Question Author
have you been able to get some sleep?
Why in gods name did they release you at that time?? From a ward? Or A & E?
Sleep is hard as always something going on, always buzzers going etc, but last night wasn’t too bad - I got about 3 hours I think.
Question Author
from A&E, i had to scramble around to get an Addison Lee car to take me home.

at least you got some sleep, try and get some more if you can, its a restorative.
Question Author
i am watching the news with all the damage caused by these storms.
absolutely horrible.
Ah ok, yes A & E in any hospital will discharge you ASAP to free up space.
And yes if I vanish then I’ve dropped off for half hours sleep! But at mo am wide awake.
Question Author
try and get some rest, its still early...
Just been reading an interview with Eammon Holmes about Philip Schofield - the man sounds a narcissistic squeaking little man!
Question Author
never much cared for him to be honest, not my cup of tea at all
Question Author
its already getting a little bit light, can't wait for spring/summer with long daylight hours.
