If you're there, Pixiemfj555gx+++ I thought I should apologise for upsetting Naomi by posting frivolous posts in an inappropriate category. Do you think I should apologise here or on the original thread?
Also, if my posts were inappropriate in your eyes, then I hereby apologise to you here and now.
Hope you didn't have a hangover.
Best wishes, and sleep tight.

Both pixie and naomi are made of tougher stuff, Atheist - they won't be losing sleep over your comments - others may, though.
Isn't most of this 'flintiness' in your head?
Question Author
DTC, when I said 'upsetting' Naomi, I should perhaps have said 'annoying' Naomi.
Flirtiness...too
splitting hairs, I don't think she would either be annoyed or upset, other than a few minutes. No doubt, she will likely respond.
You flint or flirt away, Atheist... it makes a change from the desperate must have the last answer competition.
Question Author
I was feeling a bit guilty for posting off-topic in a serious thread. Thanks, Roy and DC; you've made me feel better. :-)
Question Author
gness! How dare you try to have the last word with me! Nah Nah na Naah Naaah.
:--(
As gness may imply, nothing that 'confession' won't sort out....flinting or flirting...depends which way the confessional officer/father sees it.
Atheist....I never silence anyone by having the last word. I do it with a look which won't work here....but Dave knows.... ;-)
Question Author
DTC; Thank you, Father. And my penance is... how many Hail Mary's?
(Father, I have to confess truly now; I really was 'flinting' not 'flirting'. I've heard about these things from the lads, but I didn't realise that 'flirting' is just a natural phase that boys go through whereas 'flinting' is a wicked vice and a mortal sin. BTW I'm half way through nine novenas and hope to complete them before I see Pixie again. Do you think I'll be OK?)
Question Author
gness, now you've explained, I'll know where you're coming from. Your look will cross the ether in a flash and smite me where it hurts most.
Do atheists do novenas and the like? How strange.
You'll have to ask the Vatican or 'goodlife'.....
It's one Novena a day for nine days leading up to the feast day of the saint you are asking for help and forgiveness which could, in your case, be St. Teresa of Avila....maybe. Failing that and if Pixie doesn't respond I'd try St. Anthony.... ;-)

Tilly2. there was a short phase in my life between the ages of 12 and 14 when I was 'instructed' and jolly interesting it was, too. A bit like algebra or quantum physics. I did move away from it, though.
We had novenas and first fridays, and it was fun trying to collect enough credits to guarantee absolute forgiveness of all sins for ever and a certain life in heaven ad saecula saeculorum. A bit like collecting green shield stamps. I never collected enough to get the big prize. :-(
Atheist....I was instructed for much longer than you but lost all my credits when I had an ectopic pregnancy and because I wouldn't attend a service to ask forgiveness for it was excommunicated.
Dave and I were talking yesterday about the instructions I had to have once a week to be allowed to marry a non-catholic...my first marriage. Dave asked how it went. My reply was that we didn't quite finish as the priest doing it ran away to America with a girl part way through.
Question Author
Gness. LOL!!!
To think I used to be scared of you, and now I think you're almost human after all! :-)
Stay scared, Atheist. It’s only almost! ;-)
Question Author
Gness. Your potted history is touching.
