You've done it again Ed!

Why was this banned? It's a play on words Ed, a joke. I found it in The Sunday Times on 27th November.

Should we re-name this site the PC instead of the AB? News International found nothing wrong with it, so what was the problem?

Please, please Ed, don't trot out the old "this is a family site" etc. etc. The joke was harmless and, I thought, quite funny.

perhaps the answer is: the editor thought otherwise? News International, publishers of the high-minded News of the World, are not necessarily the ultimate arbiter in such matters.
no, but they're probably better arbitrers than the Editor, who seems to have no clue what she's doing and just bans at random. I'm fed up joining in discussions just to see them wiped without justification or reason given, even for the mildest thing or cos someone found it 'offensive' to them. The site is REALLY starting to suck.
What was the joke?

lol

actually, someone posted that on AB months ago (without swearing), so maybe it was just banned as being old. (Or maybe it wasn't banned at all, just reported by several people who found it offensive and so is now awaiting review by AB Ed?)

Kinda funny, though.

So why didn't you post it without the swearing the first time?

Hi All,

Just to clear up the confusion, the original post contained a profanity, which was not repeated in this category. Due to the use of profanity in the original post it was Reported more than three times by regular users of the site. Personally, I appreciate the anti-Bush humour, being a former voter for Nader and then most recently that other guy.

But that's neither here nor there.

I would recommend that if you want to post jokes or any other thing, to leave out the profanity, as it will ensure that your posts remain on the site.

Please see our Site Rules for more information.
