Morning all - sorry you've had a rough weekend gesso with your cold & sad news. Another grey day here but at least it's not raining.
shaney do you remember those plastic pacamacs? with the welded on buttons. They were always frumpily long (well mine were) & the rain ran down & soaked your feet..... somewhere recently I saw them described as making you look like a durex fiesta hehe....whatever one of those is ;-)

Vinny that cake looks a bit rich even for me....I see we've no bread baked yet so I picked a loaf up on the way in - sorry it's only the spongy economy stuff.
And I think we'd better get our soup reserves topped up - have you seen that snow in New York?!!! Don't we often get a similar spell of weather as they do a couple of weeks later?

Hi robinia.um...its true...better get me sleigh ready...well somebody's got to deliver the bread to the masses..hehe...!

newyork doh..I love honey on toast.(dr vogels bread..yummy)..robinia is your accent the same as in "saturday night sunday morning"i love it..(:)

Yep Vinny I tode ya I talk dead common mi duck. Had to tone it down when I moved to Derby 'cos everybody said I talked funny and I dowunt. Nar don't forget it's valentine's day tomorra - I'll talk Nottingham to ya if ya like...... :-)

test for you Vinny - translate into english.....
Oo worree wi? woree wi issen?

Morning All. Vinny I talk a bit like Robinia not quite nottingham but born and bred in Derby.

Here

I wonder if Vinny's managed it yet Robinia!
Ay up Jude - I think Vinny's busy phoning lots of Nottm companies to find a true native who'll translate for him. Either that or he's just had a panic & rushed off to the florist to order all our flowers for tomorrow ....poor thing, he's a bit outnumbered it's gonna cost him a packet.
Morning all..still piddling with rain here.
I am not on medication for cholesterol Woofgang.I have just been told that it is slightly high and that I must diet .Otherwise I will be on medication.! I have got a diet sheet which gives me three options .What I can eat ,what I can eat in moderation and what I must avoid.
Soya milk is one thing I can't have so I always buy Oatley any way and that is cholesterol free.I can't stomach cows milk either. The reason I have put on weight is to do with this thyroid problem too.
I shall stick with it for a fortnight and see what she says when I go back to be weighed.

Anyway ..I hope you will soon be over your cold Gessoo.
As we say here in Norfolk "Um orf to teark the dawg fer a wark " so I shall have to find my pacamac and rainhat !!

What an assortment of accents we must all have. A real get together would be very interesting! :o)

here

Blimey robinia and jude..um...is it.."you worry, we worry listen"???nope...sugar.....!hehe...you maids re all the same.(:)

no Vinny yer miles aht.
It means Who was he with? was he by himself?

Ay yer seen me tuffee?
tintintin (It isn't in the tin)....hahaha....

Well I have a southern non accent type voice until I get with my 'sarff 'london family, which really amuses MrG.

I tend to do really posh newsreader voice on the phone or on occasions when I need to. A child I was speaking to one the phone the other day shouted out "Mum - there's a very posh lady on the phone for you"

But I just ain't a very posh lady at all!!

I haven't really got my Norfolk accent any more .Going to school in Kent soon rubbed that out ! Then all the years of moving around . I tend to still talk "Sarf London" ..but according to all my family I speak "quaite nicely " ..rather posh !! But posh I am not either !!

Hell Gessoo how are you doing today? It's a bit dull round here. I'm just having a lazy day. Going to a pub quiz tonight with my friends.

I love listening to different accents. I like the Geordie sound but can't understand it very well when they get cracking together and I went to Scotland for a holiday once and it was like being in a foreign country trying to understand them. We stayed in a little village by Loch Awe and we were so cut off from everywhere.

gesso there's some geezer at the door wants to know if you can 'elp 'im blow his cairndulls aht - sez it's 'is birfday....... (your accent - not his hehe)

???
