Hi Neti, sorry I didn't get back earlier, but it's been a very busy day for me - now relaxing before an old school friend phones me at 8 for a natter. Thank you for the post about Goreme, glad you found it as interesting as I did looking it up for a proposed holiday.

Also, there was an article in the Daily Mail today, (get that Shaney, he, he), about your idol Barry Manilow. It showed pic's of him 20 years ago & today. It's obvious he's had surgery, including a nose job, but he looks fantasic for an old boy of 60 in June)!

Well here I am with diet sheet tucked up my sleeve......if any one dares to mention food or cakes or whisky or cheese on toast I shall scweam and scweam until I am sick ..a la Violet Elizabeth Bott !!
I must give it a go though..if I get some weight off I know I will feel better and it will also help me poor old bones.

Sorry about your poor old back ..this weather doesn't help either. I ache from top to bottom today. I find a neck support pillow tucked behind my back helps me to sit up straight and then it eases. I do tend to slouch on the settee !!

Anyway dear folks I must away to my bed..my niece(bless) is going to run me to the hairdressers tomorrow and then we are going for a bit of retail therapy.
I shall be glad as I am begining to resemble what Mum used to call "A wild man from Borneo"!! Or something that had been dragged through a hedge backwards !

Hi all at least I didn't let the buns burn ...phew...had my head stuck in a book life and Death of Doctor Crippen !...you're right shaney I think a blast of your fresh air would do my lungs the world of good! May I ask if any of the Biddypeople take Glucosamine with Chondrotin tablets and also Fish Oil capsules for their aches and pains ? Hubby and I swear by them and we 've both got touches of Arthritis and Rheumatism and we are practically pain free ,been taking them regular for about 5 years now . In fact its just my bronchial chest thats bothering me but that will go one day ( hopefully before I go !). Off to watch the Cricket for a while Bye xxx

I take those Glucosamine capsules and cod liver oil for my joints but to be honest I can't see any improvement and have been taking them for a good while now.I am beyond help !!

Vinny you cheeky thing I've been wakey wakey since 7 o'clock. The last lot of bread I made is still serving as a doorstop but if you insist I'll give it a go..... anyone with dodgy teeth better beware. Incidentally, I suppose being very old we're all superstitious? My mum always used to say that holes in the bread meant bad news....so why was that?
