Thursday. A bit cooler this morning. It's overcast, so no stars out to play. Nothing on the calendar for today, so some more tidying up in the back garden methinks. I got a lot done yesterday.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning. I would go back to bed but I have a delivery and I'm scared I'll sleep through it.

Mothers day gifts and Easter eggs. I never bought the kids Easter eggs when they were little so they'll be surprised to get one this year.

Morning ummmm xxx That will be a pleasent surprise for them.
Hopefully. I got their partners one as well. They were on offer in Tesco :-)

Spoiling them all then!
They are a bit :-) I look at my sons shopping list. No beans on toast him!! I have to OK it so I look through what he's ordered.

That's being a good mum. :o}
He supports himself. He's been very lucky. He got a job with the civil service and they've kept the job open for him so in the holidays he works full time and saves his money. We only pay for his shopping. (I bung him a few quid here and there)

Good lad. Good mum. xxx
This year he's been to Rome, and now he's off to Budapest.

He's studying history.
Question Author
Good for him!
I know. I wish I'd had his ambition but I had my first child at 18.
Not a bad thing btw, I had the energy, took her out everyday.
Question Author
I think having your children young is a good idea. When they are teenagers you're more likely to understand them.
Yes...I'm 45 and my kids are 26, 22, 20. I can do what I want, when I want.

The cat needs more care than them :-)
morning Boaty xx Ummmm xx
Question Author
Good planning. I know what you mean about the cat. Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Morning minty. xxx How are you this morning?
fine ta..joys of ALDI and TESCO today..and eye test..will need new specs I am sure...

also very sad as neighbour's son in hospital still and not expected to survive beyond early next week, have withdrawn his dialysis and he is now heavily sedated. Late 50's ..his daughter is due to be married in June, she has travelled up from Cambridge , will be staying with her nan, my neighbour, which is good as she really shouldn't be alone dealing with all this at 83...nothing I can do or say will make it any better for her, but helping with practical things, doing her shopping, taking in a hot meal , did her laundry and just sitting and talking, although she says she wants to be alone with her thoughts... happier now I know she has someone there, she knows she only has to knock or call at any time...
Question Author
You're a star minty. :o}
It's not good for your neighbour's son. Or his parents, you're not supposed to bury your children are you.
Nope, I fear she will not last long after her son leaves us...
