Well, we can't have a future king saying what he thinks can we?
Question Author
No. It wouldn't do. Imagine he said in the run up to a general election that the Tories were a bunch of ****s and he'd vote Labour if he had a chance.
Yes Sandy and if he had an independence vote he might even vote YES!!

I'm not so sure. That does seem to be stretching things a bit. :-)
It would have to be Wales though wouldn't it, he would be king of Wales then.
No. When he is king, like the Queen he will have the audiences with the PM for expressing his views. He should learn from his Mother.
No. It's not his place to meddle. We don't elect him to represent us.
No he cannot be King of Wales as it is a Principality.
And yes he should have a say.
Trouble is ,he uses his position to try and influence the government .He means well though .The last King who tried to meddle with parliament came to a sticky end .
Once he's on the throne he'll have to learn to button it .
Would it be a principality if Wales was independent though.
"No he cannot be King of Wales as it is a Principality."

Correct.
Nice link, jeffa.

"they also are required to preserve their political neutrality" why doesn't he, then?
He certainly ought to, in my opinion!
Not just Prince Charles though !

Former prime minister Sir John Major also told the documentary that he changed policies after discussing them with the Queen.
Off with their heads!!
no...........
Question Author
Whose heads? The disobedient PMs who won't do as they're told or should the scaffold at the Mansion House in Whitehall be rebuilt for the meddlers?

No he's not!
I've no interest in decapitating them, I just don't see any reason for a "royal" family in this day and age.
